“And He took the children in His arms, placed His hands on them and blessed them.” Mark 10:16

Thanks for visiting our website.

The vision for ROCK International was birthed in Cairo, Egypt, in 2006 while working among street children. Needing a platform from which to strategically work to bless these precious kids, I considered joining other organizations, but three things burdened my heart.

First, I didn’t want to spend ten years working behind a desk, rather than being out with the children God had placed on my heart. Second, knowing that people give sacrificially, I wanted 100% of their gifts to be invested into projects that bless kids and not into the salaries of workers. (To this day, no North American workers receive salaries from ROCK. They receive support through other channels.) Third, my prayer was that our mission would touch the physical for the sake of the eternal and not be merely a social-work organization. In everything we do, our heartbeat is to share the love and good news of Jesus Christ.

The world doesn’t need more organizations, but rather, individuals who actually believe that Jesus meant what He said. At ROCK International, our heart is to be the “lap of Jesus” (as seen in Mark 10:16) to children who are victims of abuse, danger, disaster, and neglect. ROCK exists to provide relief, opportunity and care for kids and to bless them and their communities for time and eternity by developing and distributing resources which declare God’s story and message clearly, captivatingly, and chronologically (Luke 24:27).

We do not view ourselves as parachurch. Instead, we are a tool used by local churches and individual believers to access, minister to, and equip youth in nations around the world. ROCK International is not denominationally-based, but Gospel-based with a desire to see the body of Christ be ONE just as Jesus prayed before going to the cross (John 17:21).

Thank you for your prayers for these precious children and those working among them. Let us not pray to God out of desperation, but rather let us recognize that we are always in desperate need of Him. Let us acknowledge that without God, we can do nothing. Your prayers are vital.

Your Partner in the Gospel,
Nathan
