2020’s New Resources

“You crown the year with Your goodness…” (Psalm 65:11) Amid the fears and confusion of a weary world, 2020 has been another year crowned with the goodness of the Lord. “…that Your way may be known on earth, Your salvation among all nations!” (Psalm 67:2) Through your faithful prayers and part with us, God has blessed ROCK colleagues and projects for evangelizing and equipping people around the globe to know and make known “the good news of great joy that is for all people!” (Luke 2:10)

3-2-1 LAUNCH!
As this year draws to a close, we are excited to launch three new resources that will further encourage and equip God’s people in their walk and witness.

1. NEW WEBSITE
To condense a wonderful, long story of God’s provision and blessing into a single sentence: After many painstaking months of research, development, and skilled labor, ROCK International has a new website! The home page is now spit in two (www.rockintl.org), guiding visitors intuitively to ROCK’s two arms:
ROCKids • Pray for the people and projects in Niger, Senegal, and Tanzania. And don’t miss the new video of the under-construction New Hope Secondary School for at-risk girls on Lake Victoria.
ROCK Resources • While all of ROCK’s multi-language resources can be downloaded for free, the new one-stop store makes it easy, domestically and internationally, to purchase ROCK’s books, booklets, and DVDs. Be it for personal use or cross-cultural contexts, powerful new search features make it possible for visitors to find and download digital resources in 60+ languages.

2. NEW MOVIE
In 2011, as the King of Glory (KoG) 70-scene picture book was about to be published, the Lord put into our hearts a plan to turn the book into a multi-language movie. Four years later the 70-scene/15-episode 222-minute KING of GLORY movie was released. Today it is in 41 languages with many more in various phases of planning, translation and recording. Among the hundreds of encouraging comments and stories received from KoG’s worldwide audience, a few have said something like, “We love the movie with its 70-scene/15-episode design, but wish we also had a shorter version made to be watched in one sitting.”

Enter FOR THIS REASON. (FTR) To produce this 100-minute feature, two hours of KING of GLORY’s stories and explanations were cut. While of FTR had many fresh scenes, all of its narration comes from KoG, making it possible for FTR to be produced in any of KoG’s dozens of languages. FTR does not replace KoG. Think of it as a new “power tool” to add to your clear-gospel toolbox. Both films offer people of all ages and cultures the opportunity to experience God’s story, connect the Old and New Testament dots, and see the big picture of God’s plan”FOR THIS REASON Christmas Cards”of salvation. While FOR THIS REASON is made to be used all year round, it includes elements that give it a Christmas feel, especially when watched during the holiday season. Use ROCK’s 5-Christmas card set to point people to the real meaning of Christmas. The back of the cards invite them to watch FOR THIS REASON. Purchase or print the cards now. Stream or download the trailer or full movie in English or Spanish. Show it to your family. Share it with neighbors and churches. Spread the link. www.for-this-reason.com

3. NEW BOOK
“PROSPER book – Coming in mid-December 2020″A new discipleship tool is at the printer. PROSPER: Enjoying Intimacy with God. Written during his bout with cancer, Nate Bramsen takes readers on a journey through Psalm 1:2-3, examining 31 angles of the blessed life. This uniquely formatted book compels readers to ask heart-probing questions that expose the root causes that keep Christ followers from enjoying their relationship with God. Excellent for personal and small group study. The book is scheduled to be in the ROCK store by mid-December and on Amazon by the first of February 2021.

Our hearts are full of thanks as we enter this season, celebrating the birth of our Savior, who “is the propitiation (satisfaction) for our sins, and not for ours only but also for the whole world.” (1 John 2:2)

Merry Christmas!
