The earth is the LORD’s, and all its fullness, the world and all who dwell therein.
… Lift up, you everlasting doors! And the King of glory shall come in! (Psalm 24:1,9)

This month, rather than reporting from multiple locations around the globe, we will focus on just one. Last month, we highlighted examples of God at work on Earth’s six inhabited continents through ROCK’s gospel/discipleship tools. As you may recall, our quick trip concluded in North America, in Idaho’s Rocky Mountain city of Coeur d’Alene (with its hundreds of thousands of annual visitors), where the FAITH WALK COMMUNITY FITNESS PARK has been taking shape. This park is a unique 10-acre haven, conceived more than a decade ago by a visionary local businessman and his wife — growing out of prayer, faith, God-given imagination, and a gracious collaboration with so many others.

Our hearts overflowed with praise to the Lord for what we experienced at the Park’s Grand Opening on Friday, May 29, 2026. More than 1,500 people attended. The celebration included live music, a time of dedication, a free supper, face painting, Styrofoam swordfights between kids and skilled fencers (with Ephesians 6:14-17 shield-of-faith applications!), and more. See www.faithwalkcda.org/grand-opening

Eight years ago this month, in a way only God could have arranged, as ROCK International’s new two-couple team in Coeur d’Alene was setting up a ROCK office, the visionary behind the proposed park stopped by. He wondered if ROCK might have a clear, compelling presentation of the gospel story and message to incorporate into a community park he planned to create. Enter KING of GLORY.

King of Glory’s text and paintings (and movie scenes and episodes via QR codes) are artistically woven into sixteen 10x10x10-foot gazebos strategically placed along the park’s half-mile perimeter walk. Each gazebo presents its part of the Genesis-to-Revelation chronological story while also featuring an Idaho wildlife animal, along with amazing facts and positive character-trait life lessons inspired by that creature. The very floor incorporates the animal’s tracks for an immersive learning experience. Adjacent to each is a second gazebo housing world-class exercise equipment.

The park’s theme is “Building Body, Mind, & Spirit.” The beauty, peace, and cohesive feel of this one-of-a-kind place, combined with its attention to variety and detail cannot be adequately captured in words or photos. It is something to be experienced. Open 24/7. All at no charge.

Time and space fail me to describe the park’s other features, including a castle playground, soccer field, and competitions with major prizes requiring physical skill (tested by the Ninja Warrior obstacle course) and knowledge of the natural world and Scripture, drawing from 2,000+ questions based on content in the 16 gazebos, 54 Commands-of-Christ-Rock-Walk, and Prayer Garden. All for the glory of God and the eternal blessing of people from all walks of life — body, mind, and spirit.
