ROCKids & ROCK Resources
While there are endless stories to tell of complex challenges and global opportunities in R.O.C.K.’s multimedia multi-language “Resources Of Crucial Knowledge” ministries – this month we want to focus on the “Relief, Opportunity, & Care for Kids” side of ROCK.
Thanks for being part of what God is doing in lives daily.

Tanzania: The New Hope Girls’ (boarding) Secondary School continues to thrive academically and spiritually. In May, a team from a flourishing church in Birmingham, Alabama made the long trip to Ukerewe Island on Lake Victoria in East Africa to pour into these girls, leading workshops affirming their identity in Christ and their value as God’s image-bearers. The team also led a 1st Peter Conference in the surrounding villages, equipping local believers to shine as lights amid great spiritual darkness. Once the team returned to Birmingham, their church held Vacation Bible School for about 400 children. Along with the Bible teaching, these kids soaked up story after story of what God is doing in the lives of these New Hope high school girls. The kids also learned that the school needs a mini-school bus for various events, including having a way to drive at-risk girls back to their homes on school breaks (some have up to 8-hour walks, some of that on solitary paths). The VBS kids caught the vision and took action: from organizing lemonade stands to telling others about the school, within 3 days more than enough was given to cover the price of the bus!

Senegal: In his Muslim village, a ROCK-connected Senegalese believer coaches soccer teams and trains two age-groups in basketball, pairing sports with biblical teaching. Another brother and his son who oversee The WAY of RIGHTEOUSNESS Wolof radio programs (Yoonu Njub, aired 18x a week on 9 Senegalese stations), told us of a woman who called to say how these radio broadcasts have changed her life and now help her to spread the gospel. And in Dakar, a church elder recently told how, at their center for street boys, each evening they play these programs for them and for non-street kids who stop by. Many are understanding the gospel.

Niger: Since the overthrow of the government in 2023, conditions have worsened for nationals and foreigners. Visas are hard to get. But the ROCK-financed Youth Development Center (page needs updating), which opened ten years ago, continues. It is overseen by a chosen brother and the elder-led local church that meets there. Pray for wisdom, unity, and protection for these faithful believers as they represent Christ in this needy nation. Pray too for a ROCK-connected surgeon and his wife serving the Lord and people in terrorist-infiltrated zones.

Haiti: In this broken land where more than 7000 KING of GLORY books (in Haitian Creole and French) have been distributed in the past 6 months, a faithful church leader and others with him show the Haitian Creole and French KING of GLORY and/or FOR THIS REASON movies in different locations at least once a month. The Holy Spirit is at work in lives, impacting young and old with God’s story and message of pure truth and sure hope – for time and eternity.

Papua New Guinea: This month, a ROCK-connected couple (who served in PNG for many years) are presently in country working with local believers and mission organizations (such as MAF, SIL, Ethnos 360, etc.) to distribute another 30,000 Pidgin “KING bilong GLORI” books to churches and ministries across PNG. In this country with 840 tribal languages, providing such gospel resources in the widely understood trade language of “Tok Pisin” (Pidgin Talk) is vital. The goal is to distribute the books in all 22 of PNG’s provinces and on several major islands.

Thank you for your prayers and part in what God is doing in minds, hearts, and communities,
