“You crown the year with a bountiful harvest; even the hard pathways overflow with abundance.”
— Psalm 65:11 NLT
ROCK Resources & ROCKids
As we look back over 2025, this verse reminds us that in our broken world, no matter how complex the problem, God delights to bring His blessings out of and into hard places. A few recent examples:
Africa & Asia: By your prayers and gifts, this month 16,000 books (KoG [English, Swahili, Marathi] and What If Jesus Meant What He Said? [Hindi]) are being printed in three nations where persecution is intense. In September, ROCK Resources lacked funds for these printings; then God provided. Pray for widespread impact among both the saved and the lost — including the persecutors themselves.
Bougainville (Papua New Guinea, Oceania): As told in ROCK’s August Update, God is doing a new thing on this autonomous island. A ministry partner (wife of an MAF director-pilot in PNG) told of her first visit to Bougainville’s main hospital: “…patients waiting for hours in the heat, broken equipment, wards without privacy, and a public bathroom so foul (with shattered toilets, overflowing sewers, filth, and maggots) that it felt evil. Yet after meeting with hospital leadership, God opened doors.” With prayer, cleaning supplies, and unexpected helpers, she and staff went to work scrubbing and repairing — with God stirring hearts in the following months to transform the hospital inside and out.
One bright weekly event is the showing of the Tok Pisin KING bilong GLORI movie. Each Saturday, a ward fills with smiles and attentiveness as patients, families, nurses, and others gather to watch. A pastor and his wife lead the showings, volunteers serve a meal during intermission, and at the end, KoG books and Bibles are eagerly received, with many understanding and responding to the Gospel.
Niger (West Africa): A ROCK-connected German surgeon and his wife, who holistically serve hurting people in Jesus’ name at a mission hospital in the Niger desert, wrote: “This country and region need much prayer, as darkness seems to be growing — but we know the LORD reigns. Please pray for the Nigerien church to be strengthened, to deepen dependence on Him, to stand firm, and for many to find Jesus as Savior. The WAY of RIGHTEOUSNESS is used in Hausa, and the hospital evangelist asks for prayer that the KING of GLORY movie might also be produced in Hausa for use in the hospital.”
We thank God for you and for all He is doing through ROCKids, such as the Girls’ School in Tanzania… And in 2026 we look forward to introducing you to a pre-K-to-12th-grade school in South Asia where God has opened a wide door for His servants to invest in more students — for time and eternity!
